Plan Of Salvation

A- Admit/acknowledge that you are a sinner.

All of us have broken the law (instructions/teachings) and the commandments of God. Have you ever stolen something? Then you have broken one of the ten commandments: “You shall not steal” (Exodus 20: 15). Have you ever lied? Then likewise, you have broken another of God’s ten commandments, namely, “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor” (Exodus 20:16).

Romans 3:23: “ for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”

God is holy and sin cannot enter His presence. With unforgiven sin in our lives we cannot enter into heaven. There is a cost for our sin, eternal separation from God.

Romans 6: 23- “ For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Whatever we do- no amount of human goodness, works or religious activity can obtain acceptance with God, or get anyone into heaven. None of us can be in right standing with God by our own efforts.

Romans 3:10: “There is none righteous, no, not one”

B- Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Romans 5: 8: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”

God demonstrated His love for us through the death of His Son, Jesus who came to earth as a sacrifice for each us and took this punishment of our sins upon the cross/stake thousands of years ago. He died so that we may live and have a living relationship with God through Him.

He rose from the grave for He had no sin and is alive forevermore.

Romans 10:9-10 “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation”

C- Call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, confess your sins.

If you cry out and seek Him, He will be found by you. Confess your sins to Him. Then repent, turn away from your previous lifestyle choosing to follow Him and His ways.

Romans 10: 13 “ For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

Salvation comes by personal faith, trusting in Him and His death for our sins.

All have sinned:

The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, they have together become corrupt; there is none who does good, no, not one. - Psalm 14:2-3

For there is not a just man on earth who does good and does not sin. - Ecclesiastes 7:20

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way... - Isaiah 53:6

Sin separates us from God:

For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness, nor shall evil dwell with You. - Psalm 5:4

But your iniquities have separated you from your God; and your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear. - Isaiah 59:2

The wages of sin is death:

...but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. - Genesis 2:17

Blood makes atonement:

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul. - Leviticus 17:11

Messiah died for our sins:

…But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all... He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken... He poured out His soul unto death... - Isaiah 53:5-6, 8, 12

...Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself... - Daniel 9:26

...He was buried:

...And they made His grave with the wicked... - Isaiah 53:9

...and He rose again:

...He shall prolong His days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His hand. He shall see the labour of His soul... - Isaiah 53:10-11

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. - Psalm 16:10

You must be born again:

... get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel? - Ezekiel 18:31

Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you... I will deliver you from all your uncleannesses...

- Ezekiel 36:25-27, 29

Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the transgressions which you have committed, and get yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Israel?

- Ezekiel 18:30-31

And it shall be that whoever will not hear My words, which He speaks in My name, I will require it of him. - Deuteronomy 18:19

Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.

- Psalm 2:12

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation; whoever believes will not act hastily. - Isaiah 28:16

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? - Isaiah 53:1

...the just shall live by his faith. - Habakkuk 2:4
